SOME ART...YOU SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT

These pieces are are both self portraits on watercolor paper (32x36). The mediums i used were a ultra thin pen, markers, watercolor and acrylic paint and my own homemade inks as well. The one on the left was titled "The Ego" and is a piece that pretty much tell you the two sides of me as a artist one that is "humble" to the craft, willing to push the art ever further and at the same time the" pride" which has a full on love affair with art and powers that some which and has a simple F U for anyone who doesn't see the power in the work.

The piece on the right is titled"Self-Understanding" and this piece shows the new found expression i was able to have in doing art, above the characters head in graffiti reads "free urself".

BLACK FACE SERIES

Ok these pieces are each on a 30x40 canvas and the mediums used were alot of black acrylic and other acrclic paint, spray paint and a few post office stickers.
I had these for sell in harlem on 125th a few days ago and i got a lot of feedback most was good but i got a few older black folks telling me what i was doing was a bit racist....what?!!...but im black lol how can that be racist. I told her with these pieces im trying to put a new spin on something that was created to make us look like fools. These pieces were to show that even if people thought i looked like this i still would have pride and respect for myself but of course she didn't see that and of course i stop trying to tell her.

Watercolor Screams: Niketown

So i just finshed this piece entitled" Slave to my soles" its on a 18x24 watercolor paper and the mediums used were a ultra thin pen, water color paint and a black and red deco paint marker. This piece was the first in a series im working on where i try to blend african style art, anatomy concepts with street art.
The meaning behind this piece was to show how people are trapped in the ideas of the materal world which is why the face is crying and also why the heart in the middle is broken. In this piece i had the character drawn in and around the sneaker to show in my view one of the biggest money killers for teens...nike.Don't get me wrong i love most of the nike concepts they make i just won't send 4oo dollars for it.
